Huanhou Palace, also known as Zhangfei Temple, located in Zhonghua Road, Zigong City, is the butchers’ guildhall. The ingenious design and luxuriant decoration of the building display high artistic value. Huanhou Palace is valuable and significant for the study of the sprouts of capitalism in salt industry, evolvement of guildhall and trade association, social relationship and the status of working class in Zigong salt field in the Qing Dynasty.
